The domain was registered in 31st July 2009, at that time ipad didn't exist or the info was publicly released. Also, Apple had a problem with the trademark for the iPad name, Apple didn't own the trademark! Apple finally bought it a few weeks ago from Fujitsu, and there are other companies with trademarks for that name. Or course a good lawyer can argue something good to get the domain to Apple, but will not be easy ;-) Not sure about ipad.in being a trademark infringment.
